Tourrettes in Autumn, Winter or Spring

While visiting Tourrettes sur Loup in the summer is spectacular, do not underestimate its charm as an autumn retreat, or the beautiful snow-capped appeal of Tourrettes during the festive Christmas holidays, not to mention brisk springtime hikes through the mountainside.

To give an idea of the temperate climate, Tourrettes-sur-Loup celebrates the harvest of the violet, the sweet smelling winter flower, during its Violet Festival in March! Enjoy a parade of floral floats, musical and festival events around the Grasse area.

We had a week in the Easter holidays at the maison des citrons. It was the most relaxing and enjoyable holiday I can remember having. The tennis court is excellent, the views sublime and the house is so well set out and comfortable that it makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in. It felt such a treat to have all to ourselves at the house the tennis, ping pong, a swimming pool and home cinema. We absolutely loved the media room, where we could all hang out and watch films. The place is so quiet and relaxing you can forget the rest of the world exists, but at the same time you are just a short walk away from a beautiful village. Our party had adults, teenager and children, and we all had a really great time.

Five stars!

We have just come back from a fabulous week at Maison des Citrons. Tourrettes is a gem of a village with fabulous shops both for food and for pottery, art, jewellery etc. The house is ideally located for teenage sons to go down to the village and have a beer at the Café du Sport and the tennis court and pool were very popular. Quiet and with spectacular views, I cannot recommend it more highly.
